Google Business Profile, calls performance, Nov 2025–Feb 2026

2 — The Problem

Fast quotes, free collection, but the phone wasn't ringing.

This scrap car buying business offers free collection and instant cash quotes for unwanted, damaged, and end-of-life vehicles across London. Despite a genuinely strong offer, Google Business Profile calls were stuck in single digits during the first month tracked. The service was ready to scale, but almost nobody searching locally could find it.

Starting challenges

✕ Google Business Profile calls stuck at single digits despite a strong, competitive offer

✕ Profile not structured around high-intent keywords like "scrap my car London" or "sell my car for cash London"

✕ Organic visibility thin, buried outside the top rankings for the terms that mattered most

3 — What We Found

The GBP wasn't built around how Londoners actually search to scrap a car.

The profile existed but wasn't structured around "scrap car buyer in London" or the specific, high-intent phrases people use when they want a car gone today. Organic rankings were weak across the board, so most of the demand was simply going to competitors.

Visibility was the bottleneck

The business already had the offer in place — fast quotes, free collection, fair prices. What was missing was a profile and website structure aligned with how people search when they just want an old car off their hands.

7 — What Made This Campaign Work

What made this campaign work

✓ 01

Competitor analysis finds the fastest wins

Auditing top-ranked London scrap car buyers revealed exactly which profile and keyword gaps were costing calls. Deep analysis before execution uncovers the highest-leverage opportunities first.

✓ 02

The GBP name is a ranking signal, not just a label

Adding a keyword to the GBP name gives Google an explicit relevance signal. Done naturally by embedding the service category, it is one of the most impactful changes available in local SEO.

✓ 03

One insight plus consistent execution compounds

The name and structure update opened the door. Consistent weekly content, photos, posts, and citations turned an early ranking lift into a dominant position in the local pack.

✓ 04

Urgency keywords convert to calls

Searches like "sell my car today" or "scrap my car this week" are high-intent by nature. Structuring the profile and content around them turned casual searchers into same-day callers.

✓ 05

GBP and website work feed each other

GBP optimization drives map pack rankings. Website SEO drives organic clicks and domain authority that reinforces local rankings. The two channels compound each other when run in parallel.

✓ 06

Local SEO takes time and then compounds

Call volume growth to 125 built steadily over 5 months of consistent signals. The earlier you start building local authority, the earlier compounding results begin to show up.
